Covina, California

Women's recovery residence near Covina

Nineteen minutes from Covina. This is the one city on this list where women's beds already exist, so this page is a comparison rather than a sales pitch.

13.4 miles, about 19 minutes from the house in Montclair · from $950/month + $250 one-time acceptance fee · opening November 2026

Covina has the strongest behavioral health pairing in the corridor and four women's AA meetings a week. It also has a working women's recovery housing program at a lower rate than ours. We would rather set the comparison out honestly than pretend otherwise.

All AA: Monday 6:30 p.m. Women's As Bill See's It and Friday 6:30 p.m. Women's Mixed Book Study at S.G.V. Alano Club, 510 S. 2nd Avenue; Friday 11:00 a.m. Women's As Bill See's It, closed, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 100 North Third Avenue; and Saturday 10:00 a.m. Women's Stag, The Other Side, 432 N. What Covina doesn't have

Not a women's bed — Covina already has one. Five homes are listed here, starting around $675 a month (Recovery Housing Directory — Covina), and the Puente House runs an actual women's program at $800 a month with utilities and Wi-Fi included, rooted in the 12-step tradition, noting that many residents come from inpatient treatment or detox (Puente House). If that is the right fit for your family, take it, and we will tell you so.

What Covina lacks is a choice about how many women share a room. Her Aria publishes the whole ladder: from $950/month for a bunk bed to $1,350 for a full bed in the shared room and $1,450 in the two-person room, every utility included. Refer a client.

Getting here from Covina

Foothill Transit 480 runs West Covina to Pomona to Montclair Transit Center and 492 runs El Monte to Arcadia to Montclair via Arrow Highway; both list Covina and both terminate at Montclair Transit Center (Line 480, Line 492). Adult fare $1.75 a ride, $6 day pass (Foothill Transit fares).

Two standing caveats for anyone planning a discharge. Meeting nights and times change constantly — call the club or the church office before you put a woman on a bus. And neither central office lists an AA meeting inside Montclair city limits (Inland Empire Central Office, San Gabriel Valley & Pomona Valley Central Office), so residents here travel to Upland, Claremont, Chino, Ontario or Pomona for AA. Drive times on this page are free-flow estimates routed from the Montclair 91763 centroid, not promises. Crisis and county intake numbers are on our resources page.
